The lower reaches of the Avonmore from Clara Vale to the Meetings of the Waters are club-controlled by the Rathdrum Trout Angling Club.

Walking
River Walk: 2km looped walk from the Lower Street Bridge, through the arch, along the Avonmore river, under the viaduct, over the Foot Stick Bridge, up towards the Railway Station and right along the R752 back to the Lower Street Bridge.
Railway Walk: 4.7km looped walk from the Railway Business Park through the woods to Avondale House and return by the footpath along the L2149 back into Rathdrum.
Fish Pond: 5km loop walk, mostly on footpaths starting and ending at Saville’s Cross Roundabout, through Corballis on the R752 & L2149.
Jubilee Loop: 4.9km loop walk, mostly through Ballygannon Forest, starting and ending at Church of St. Mary & St. Michael, A67 E034.
